We are still on strike says IMSU ASUU

The Academic Staff Union Of Universities, ASUU, Imo State University, IMSU chapter has debunked trending reports that the union has pulled out from the ongoing strike.

The IMSU ASUU chairman, Dr. Ejiogu on Monday afternoon, said the news is not true.

He said, “where did you get the news from ? It is not true, we are still on strike.It is a fraud."

However other sources from IMSU ASUU indicate that the school management has reopened the varsity but IMSU ASUU has not resumed.

The source as quoted "IMSU ASUU HAS NOT CALLED FOR CONGRESS, IT IS ONLY WHEN A CONGRESS IS HELD AND MEMBERS VOTE TO REAFFIRM THE REOPENING THAT IT WILL BE ASSUMED TO HAVE REOPENED, UNLESS THE CONGRESS IS DONE THEN ASUU WOULD KNOW THEIR POSITION.

"From all indications the exams would take place soon. After all, we are being paid, why then must we continue to be on strike," the source concluded.
