Nnamdi Kanu: The FG Reacts To Court's Decision, Declaring, "We'll Consider Available Options" On IPOB Leader

In response to the Court of Appeal's decision clearing the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, of all terrorism-related charges, the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice issued a statement.

TDPNEWSNG.COM, reports that the appellate court dismissed the FG's accusations against the IPOB leader due to the "recklessness" of the executive branch of the government.

It also concurred that Kanu was unusually extradited outside the rules of international law.

But Nigeria's Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, contended that only the extradition problem had been resolved in a statement on Thursday, adding that the government would continue to investigate additional charges.

The proper legal alternatives available to the authorities will be used, and the public will be informed appropriately. "For the avoidance of doubt and by the judgment of the Court, Kanu was merely dismissed and not acquitted."

The court of appeal's ruling focused on a particular issue that has rendition-related implications.
