Nnamdi Kanu Not Threat to National Security, Group Tells FG *says Exposing Fulanization Agenda of Nigeria Not Crime

The apex socio-political youth group in the South East geopolitical zone, Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL)  has condemned in strongest terms what it termed as "the blatant abuse of power, impunity and rascality of the highest order by President Muhammadu Buhari and the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami in disobeying the court of Appeal order that discharged and acquitted the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

The group made it clear that the IPOB leader has no intention to pose a national security threat, noting that Kanu's agitation for self-rule of the Biafra land does not constitute a security threat to the nation.

In a release signed by the group's President Goodluck Ibem and a copy sent to Tdpnewsng.com, he observed that there was great joy throughout Igboland on the day the court of Appeal discharged and acquitted Nnamdi Kanu, adding that such jubilation indicated the end of the Monday sit-at-home imposed as a result of the continued illegal detention of Kanu.

He, therefore, queried how then could someone who his people were very happy on hearing the good news of his Appeal Court acquittal would be "a flight risk person" and a threat to National Security?

According to the group, "It is crystal clear that the real threat to National Security in our country today are Boko Haram members, ISWAP, and murderous Fulani Jihadists and terrorists who happen to be the kinsmen of President Muhammadu Buhari and Mr. Abubakar Malami. They know the real threats to National Security but are busy pointing in the wrong direction.

"It is on record that these Fulani terrorist groups are the 3rd world deadliest terrorist organization in the world according to the world index rating. Now Buhari and Malami see nothing wrong in their nefarious activities. Their only interest is to deal with a man who is not a terrorist like their kinsmen because he is an Igbo man who exposed the Fulanization and Islamization of this administration.

"Three days ago in Benue State, 80 persons were killed by Fulani Jihadists and terrorists. Buhari and Malami kept quiet because they are Fulanis that committed the heinous crime and all Fulanis are good people even when they wiped out an entire Community.

"The Fulani Jihadists and terrorists parading as herdsmen have killed over 100,000 persons in Benue State and displaced two million persons in Benue State alone under President Buhari's watch and they are not a threat to National Security and "persons of flight risks".

"Our country Nigeria is bigger than one man or a few persons who think because they are in power will jettison our constitution, laws and Court orders most especially the Court of Appeal's judgements that ordered the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from DSS custody.

"Even a cow or a goat understands the meaning of discharged and acquitted in law. It beats our imagination that someone who says he is an Attorney General of the country does not know the meaning of the words "discharged and acquitted". Maybe a child in kindergarten should educate him on the meaning of the pronouncements of the Court of Appeal.

"We commend the Judges of the Court of Appeal who looked at the case of Nnamdi Kanu based on their merits to pronounce their judgement. The Judiciary has proved to be the last hope of the common man.

"Everybody is equal before the law including the President and the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the federation who are presently disobeying the law by not obeying the court judgement of the court of Appeal that discharged and acquitted Mazi Nnamdi Kanu," the group said.

The group, therefore, called on the International Community to prevail on President Buhari and his Attorney General to obey the court judgement that discharged and acquitted Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from DSS custody.
