Reprieve seems to have come the way for the Imo State Governor, Hope
Uzodimma over the circumstances surrounding his nomination and eventual
election as the governor of the State in 2019 following the withdrawal of the
court case filed by the former State chairman of the All Progressives Congress
(APC) in the State, Dan Nwafor on the very sensitive matter.
The Letter:
Tdpnewsng.com reliably
gathered that Nwafor, an aide of that former Governor, Senator Rochas Okorocha, and his former Chief of Staff, Uche
Nwosu decided to withdraw the matter in order to give the Imo state Governor Hope
Uzodinma “a breathing space”.
Nwafor told Tdpnewsng.com on a telephone that “he decided to withdraw the matter from a court in order to walk
freely and settle down to take care of himself.”
Political pundits and legal experts described the matter as “deadly and was
at the verge of sacking Governor Uzodinma out of office and nullifying all APC
candidates in Imo state.”
The ugliest part of the story is that before
now, most media handlers of Uche Nwosu and Okorocha remained antagonistic to
every Rescue missionary seen close to any member of Governor Uzodinma’s 3R
government.
Even Senator Araraume who has been at the forefront
of the matter was never consulted before Daniel Nwafor withdrew the suit after a serious exchange of alleged “financial inducement as well as settling with
Okorocha and his former Chief of Staff.”
The likes of Chike Okafor, Edna Njoku, Emma
Ibediro are now Heroes over the prudent and loyal likes of Ugonna Ozurigbo,
Kingsley Uju, Emma Bukar, Godstime Samuel, Lasbery Okaforanyanwu, Jeff Nwoha,
Ugochi Nnanna Okoro, Paschal Obi, Chinyere Uwandu, Ngozi Njoku, amongst others.
Okorocha and Uche Nwosu failed to factor in the plight of their loyal
former 27 Local Government Chairmen, 27 former Vice Chairmen, 645 councillors,
305 ward chairmen and numerous APC members of rescue mission extraction.
