felicitated President Muhammadu Buhari on his 80th birthday.
reports that today, Saturday, December 17th, marked another
birthday anniversary of the Nigerian leader.
In a statement personally signed
by him, Atiku prayed that God would continue to grant the incumbent president
good health, while he also prayed that Buhari would enjoy vitality as he plays
his leadership role. He said: “President Buhari, at 80, continues to be a
motivation for inner strength.”
The PDP presidential flagbearer prayed for
President Buhari “to continue to enjoy the grace of good health and vitality,
as he continues to play his leadership roles in Nigeria and Africa.”
Why President Buhari Is Not Travelling With APC
To Campaign For Tinubu – PDP Meanwhile, PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation
asserted on Friday that the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential
candidate, Bola Tinubu, is not fit to be the next leader of Nigeria.
The opposition camp through its campaign
organization spokesperson, Charles Aniagwu who made the allegation, submitted
that this is the reason President Buhari has not been appearing at campaigns by
the party so far.
He argued that the APC would have gotten more credibility with
Professor Yemi Osinbajo as its 2023 presidential candidate. Speaking during an
appearance on “AIT Kakaaki” yesterday, the PDP said only some selfish persons
in the APC are trying to force Tinubu on Nigerians.
According to him, Tinubu has
clearly shown by his many public gaffes that he lacks the mental alertness to
lead Nigeria successfully.
He said; “The inability of the
APC Presidential candidate to carry on his campaigns seamlessly is a pointer to
the fact that he is being managed and that is not the kind of leader Nigerians
deserve at this time.
“Tinubu is a great leader and we
respect him for all his accomplishments and contributions to nation-building in
the past.
“A situation where a
Presidential candidate cannot speak coherently for only two minutes calls for
serious concern.”
