The Niger Delta Youth Coalition (NDYCA) has thrown her weight behind the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, saying that his leadership experience speaks for him.

The group in her strategic engagement meeting in Owerri, Imo State capital on Saturday contented that the PDP presidential flag bearer not only a man of integrity but one who has the collective interest of Nigerians at heart and would transform the fortunes of the country.

Its National Coordinator, Eje Elijah Omachi noted that across the all presidential candidates of the political parties struggling to be president of Nigeria, Atiku stands out due to his pan-Nigerian posture, who has the grasp of turning the economy of the country to the benefit of all Nigerians.

According to him, having studied the capabilities of all the candidates, we are sure that it is only Atiku that is a unifier, he has built bridges across the Niger, he has built institutions nationally and globally, and he has the ability to manage our common good.

The group which is drawn from delegates from  Rivers, Abia, Bayelsa and Imo States with five points agenda: economy, education, devolution of power, security and unity of the country collectively promised to deliver Atiku in their respective States.

Those from Bayelsa said they are going to occupy the creeks to ensure that every vote goes to Atiku. 'We are glad that we have a candidate that is marketable, a candidate that is presentable and a candidate that is credible. The eyes of the candidate is on us and we need to intensify efforts in the grassroots."

They also agreed that Atiku is their sole candidate and the incoming president. "This is a coalition of all Niger delta youts. We are not fighting anybody but with our PVC we will get what we want.

The director of the group in Imo State, Larry Nnamdi believed that with the experience garnered over the years by Atiku which counts positively for him, he is a walk over in the February 25 election.
