Meanwhile Governor Ahmadu Fintiri on Tuesday evening reacted to his victory at the 2023 election.
Fintiri said, his re-election as governor of Adamawa is “a victory to the people of the state."
The governor and flag-bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) also said “no one will be left behind” in his government.
“Alhamdulillah, victory to the people of Adamawa state! I still remain a governor for all. No one will be left behind and nothing will be left untouched,” Governor Fintiri wrote on his official Twitter handle.
Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officially declared Fintiri as the winner of the Adamawa State governorship election on Tuesday after reviewing the blunder made the State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), a move that was unlawful.
The Returning Officer, Muhammed Melee, declared incumbent Fintiri winner on Tuesday after polling 430,861 votes to defeat his major counterpart Aisha Binani of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who polled 398,788.
INEC reopened the collation centre for the supplementary election results on Tuesday.
The collation exercise in the state was stopped on Sunday after the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Hudu Ari, declared the candidate of the APC, Binani the winner of the election, which led the commission on Monday to ask Hudu to stay away from the office.
