"I'M NOT IN A HURY" - TINUBU: WILL PRESIDENT TINUBU COPE WITH THE WEIGHT, STRESS AND INEVITABLE CHALLENGES OF THE OFFICE OF PRESIDENT?

By Vitalis Unachukwu

The Nigerian Press should endeavor to ask Tinubu , how he plans to cope with the stress, weight and inevitable challenges of the office of President, given the intractable hydra headed problems of Nigeria’s broken system.

We don’t know why some members of the the Nigerian Press, have made their noble profession, as the Fourth Estate of the Realm, uninteresting and unethical, as the conscience of the nation, by asking and putting pertinent questions to public officials, especially the man holding office as President.

That was how they treated Buhari and Co with kid gloves and watched our nation slide into oblivion and chaos, without knowing that we will all receive our due from God, according to our deeds and misdeeds on the day of reckoning.

Now, they have distanced themselves from BAT and refrained from asking him questions that would portray him in bad light, with nothing upstairs to show. The long silence of the Press, facilitated the current demise of the Nigerian Society and the destruction of our democratic institutions.

They are to blame for romancing with corrupt politicians and giving them frequent passes of political blunders and disservice with impunity and without accountability.

Why was Tinubu  in a haste to rig, rob, and deny Peter Obi off the people’s electoral mandate, when he knew that he is not ready and willing to rebuild Nigeria?

He must certainly be judged sooner, by his sinister, lackluster, lackadaisical and laissez faire attitude towards Nigeria and Nigerians, when majority of voters did not vote for him, to make him their President, hence his alleged criminal tendencies of corruptly inducing INEC, THE MILITARY, POLICE AND SECURITY AGENCIES, who colluded in rigging elections for him, before turning to the Judiciary, this time, to help him keep his false mandate and reap the benefits of ill-gotten Presidency, which Nigerians, the real owners of the mandate, meant for Peter Obi, will never allow.

Tinubu is right, that he’s not in a hurry to repair and fix our broken system, when he knows that he lacks the people’s confidence, the competence, capacity, technical know how, intellectual Quotient, moral authority and transparent service records, to woo and win the support of Nigerians.

There can be no followership in the absence of true, visionary leadership.

That’s how it works for.

Since he came in with bad faith, he would end up as he rushed in, to rob what doesn’t belong to him.

Nigeria’s Presidency is not for sale and is not his own property and those of his party, that he could toil with it as he pleases.

Since he insisted in keeping it, it would elude him, when he lests expected, because power is most transient and elusive to anyone not destined for it.

The shambles around Aso Rock, Abuja, is a strong testimony that the place cannot accommodate the current occupant, no matter whatever he does.

He doesn’t know that he has an ax to grind with God. More so, according to an important Igbo Proverb, “Anyone holding a child’s stuff, which he raised up, will certainly bring it down, when his hands starts aching him painfully.

Recall, When Moses raised his hands on  the mountain, supported by some men of Israel, in one of the battles they fought against their enemies.

It was reported that when Moses’ hands became weak and lowered down, Israelites incurred loses, but when the Israeli men supported Moses’ hands, victory tilted towards the Israelites.

Without sounding repetitive, the current holder of the people’s mandate, must definitely lower it down from where he raised it, after some time.

According to Ndigbo, when you give a child what’s greater than him, he would be overwhelmed, moving around and asking for to whom that thing was given. Here we are, looking at and watching the electoral victory snatchers, robbers and usurpers, about what they are up to.

They don’t even know what to do with the mandate they snatched away and forcefully kept at their own pleasure.

Governance and Presidential Responsibility are no bread and butter joke. They are not as easy as eating Amala and Ewedu Soup or eating Suya and Kilishi.

If the man on that seat now is in his Nineties, he will be catapulted to his hundreds overnight.

Just ask President Barack Obama, who became the 44th President of the United States in his earliest 50s and by the time he concluded the Second Term of his Presidency, his hitherto black hairs , turned completely grey, or almost white, by which he admitted that, the job of a President, is a very serious, difficult job, not meant for the feeble hearted, mentally, physically, emotionally weak or unstable.

Imagine President Obama now in his early 60s  looking older than his age, what more of Tinubu!

Is that a job, BAT rushed and grabbed by force and crooked means, thinking he could cope?

Worst still, the impatience of Nigerians, reluctance,  unwillingness and unpreparedness to walk along with him, will stampede him out of that ill-gotten seat of power.

Ego shelle ooo , when the time comes.

With a steadily deteriorating health and degenerating cognitive abilities, which made him a constant health risk and delirious object, being monitored in case of any eventuality, it’s anybody’s guess how long BAT, will be around on that hottest seat.

Does Nigeria have the money and resources, to jet off Tinubu frequently abroad for urgent and emergency medical treatment, as was the case of Buhari, which cost our nation billions in 8 years of unproductive terms.

As seen from his political obstinacy, nobody can convince Jagaban to leave in peace now, for his own good and health, unless in pieces and except the Tribunal hands out a just judgment and God as Last Resort.

Nothing will be productive of an illegitimate government.

Nothing good will come from all the political abracadabra going out from Abuja today.

We are in trouble, for a real dramatic and chaotic period of Constitutional crises, which has become a whirlwind that blows no one any good.

Playing hide and seek, will never help the situation.

Taking the path of honor and abdicating, is the only honorable way to go, because the God of Nigeria, Who’s the Almighty,  is not mocked.

The earlier, the better, even if BAT, pleads with us, to allow him dance Emilokan one more time, before abdication, we will oblige him, as a safe landing strategy.

May God teach him simple wisdom, touch his heart and help him come clean, by doing the right thing, for his own good and greater good of our nation.
