Imo Journalist Demands Justice Over Mother's Death

An Imo State based journalist, Chidiebube Okeoma has raised an alarm over the death of his mother, Mrs Patricia Okeoma who was knocked down by one Amos Ike for alleged ritual purposes and called for thorough investigation.

Okeoma in a petition to the Imo State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Ahmed Barde lamented that the Okigwe police division lacked the capacity to prosecute the case.

Already, he has called for the immediate transfer of the case file to the criminal investigation department of the Police command.

According to him, he wants the case file transferred to the state CID for thorough investigation of the assassination of his mother.

The petition signed by his lawyer, Barr Uche Nwoha lamented that Amos Ike had on August 24th along the Okigwe-Owerri road murdered Mrs Patricia Okeoma, who was returning from a burial ceremony in Anara in the Isiala Mbano local government area of Imo state.

Further he said, Ike while driving his RX Lexus vehicle, allegedly trailed his mother on the road to execute what he described as "ritual plan", where his mother was knocked down.

Okeoma said after the incident, Ike absconded with his car and went into hiding for 5 days, while his mother gave up the ghost.

He maintained that the car hit was an intentional act by Ike to assassinate his mother, who is currently at the morgue.
