The national police council has confirmed Kayode Egbetokun as the substantive inspector-general of police (IGP).
The Minister of police affairs, Ibrahim Geidam, announced this to journalists at the State House, Abuja, after the Council’s meeting on Tuesday, October 31.
Recall that President Bola Tinubu had appointed Egbetokun, a deputy inspector-general of Police (DIG), as the acting IGP, pending confirmation by the police council on June 20, 2023.
