The just concluded off-season governorship election in Imo State has finally and gloriously come to an end with the declaration of the incumbent Governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma as the authentic winner of the November 11 2023 gubernatorial election in the State.
In Aboh Mbaise LGA, the victory of the people's governor cannot be complete without acknowledging the support of Chief Stanley Amuchie (Ezinwa Mbaise) who worked assiduous from behind to achieve the sweet victory for Governor Uzodimma.
The Aboh Mbaise result had APC winning with a huge margin of 9,638 votes, while other parties came a distance far with PDP 1,724 votes, LP 2,455 votes and AA 1,047 respectively.
By this result, Amuchie has stamped his feat in the support of governor Uzodimma's re-election for another four years.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Returning Office for Imo State, Prof. Abayomi Fasina, who is also the vice chancellor of Federal University, Oye Ekiti on Sunday declared Governor Hope Uzodimma as winner having secured the highest votes with 540,307 votes to defeat his rivals of Senator Samuel Anyanwu of PDP who scored 71,503 votes, while Senator Athan Achonu of the Labour Party scored 64,081 votes.
