Marvellous leadership going on in Abia State by its Governor, Dr. Alex Otti has indeed continued to resonate in the State as three brand new roads were commissioned in Aba on Saturday.
According to the governor, yesterday, we commissioned three adjoining roads in Aba as we continue our commitment to solidify road infrastructure in Abia. The roads are Kent, Ehi, and Old Court Roads.
The ceremony was dignified by the presence of the special guest of honour, His Royal Majesty, Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Achebe (Agbogidi) CFR, the Obi of Onitsha.
"We are grateful to all the residents and business owners who thronged out to show us overwhelming support and solidarity.
"The lamentable state of these roads was a pressing issue when I passed through in February to inspect other ongoing road projects. It is with joy that we announce that, in just three months, the roads have been reconstructed and are ready for use. We thank our contractors and the Direct Labour Agency under Abia State's Ministry of Works for their oversight work over the last 90 days. The supervisors have been instrumental in ensuring that our directives were executed as requested. We owe them a debt of gratitude.
"Finally, we have no reservations about Aba's trade and commerce potential. Our goal is to continue to develop strategic infrastructures that will create inroads for investments and businesses, ultimately leading to job creation and employment opportunities," he said.
