'There's Plan To Arrest Peter Obi By Tinubu Govt' - Charley Boy Alleges

A popular activist, Charles Oputa, aka Area Fada has alleged that there is a plan by the government of president Bola Tinubu to arrest the 2023 presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi for voicing out his opposition towards unpopular policies of the government.

In his verified Twitter now X @AreaFada1 he wrote "There’s a report of an attempt of arrest on Peter Obi, by Tinubu’s Government over Peter Obi’s consistent refusal to back down on calling Tinubu out towards good governance and accountability.

"Any arrest or charges against Obi must be met with a resistance as never seen in the history of Nigeria before, and the Obidients are ready for it.

"Tinubu’s government must trend with caution not to set this nation on fire with an illegal arrest of HE Peter Obi.

"We call on Tinubu's government to desist from her evil plans against Peter Obi because Nigeria will not remain the same.

Reacting to the X, another @Nothindome "😂 it would be a waste of time and resources to arrest Peter Obi. If he breaks any law or intends to and he’s found guilty. He’ll arrested, and prosecuted. Heaven will not fall.

According to @jayeobayaje "They should arrest him and see what will happen. They should just remember he is the reason why we are not flooding the street.

In his own response @XpaceReporter "Obi is not at fault in any way. He is being too kind in his role as the opposition. Any attempt by the government to silence him will only lead to more resistance against the illegitimate government. They are aware of the consequences of going against Obi and are currently observing the situation to see if the public will continue to remain passive. The government is mindful of their illegitimacy, so they fear Obi's influence. We must follow in Obi's footsteps and become more vocal against the government."
