REVEALED: Justice Binta Once Told Me Charges On Kanu Don't Make Sense Legally Not Surprised She Back Down—Sam Amadi

In a recent statement, Prof. Sam Amadi, the director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts, has shared his thoughts on the charges against Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Amadi stated that the charges brought against Kanu do not hold much legal weight.

His comments followed news that Justice Binta Nyako, who has been handling Kanu's case, expressed her intention to step down from the trial.

Amadi recalled that Justice Nyako had shared a similar opinion with him two years ago, saying it would be challenging to prove the charges against Kanu.

He believes this case is more of a political trial than a purely legal one.

According to Amadi, the charges are difficult to prove, and he urged that the trial should end.

“The charges against Nnamdi Kanu do not make much sense legally speaking, and in my opinion, difficult to prove.“

"Justice Binta said something close to that to me two years ago. Not surprised she backed down.It is a political trial in the guise of a legal trial. End it,” He said.

Justice Nyako’s decision to recuse herself connects with Kanu’s recent statements.

The IPOB leader had previously said that he no longer has confidence in the court handling his case.

Kanu expressed his belief that the judge should remove herself from the trial due to what he sees as a lack of fairness in the proceedings.
