Wike Allegedly Seizes 37 Plots Estate With 500 Houses, Marks For Demolition, Hands Over To PA As Placeholder

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike is trending as he is allegedly siezed a 37 plots Estate with over 500 houses and dashed it to his PA as a placeholder.

The occupants of the estate have been asked to vacate the houses and as the buildings in the entire estate have been marked for demolition.

Apparently, the property belongs to late Col. Paul Osa Ogbebor. The literal 001 of Nigerian Military Cadet. He was the first Military Cadet in Nigeria as revealed.

It was learnt that the late Colonel acquired the 2.5 hectare property in 1981 to build an estate that would also inhabit workers of his construction company.

The estate is managed by Paullosa Nigeria Limited.

"Acquired in 1981, got all required documentation in 1984, have been living in harmony for 40 years until Bola Ahmed Tinubu became president and appointed the former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike as the Minister of FCT.

"Alas, on 22nd of November, they got a Quit Notice from Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA). Ordering the entire estate occupants to evacuate the property, because it will be demolished in 24hrs.

"Out of shock, the family of late Col, took the original complete documents to the FCDA office two days later, they were bounced away.

"They later succeeded, in communicating with the FCDA.

"Then the FCDA told them that they had to do regularization and some other things to get them a R of O. And they’d need to pay a deposit of N10M which they paid.

"Next thing, FCDA said their systems are not working for them to complete the documentations.

"And then on the 28th, FCDA told notified them that the land ownership has been revoked," it was revealed.

Now it gets interesting, as the family and management of the property decide to dig. What they found out according to insider sources are what makes this case interesting.

It was revealed "They found out that. — FCDA had actually revoked the property since October 10th.

— Allocated to a new owner, Saravera Nigeria Limited.

— Issued them a C of O (Certificate of Ownership) on October 12th.

— Issued them a R of O (Right of Occupancy) on 15th October.

"Now, ideally. These documents takes atleast 2-3 months to get them. In Lagos it can take up to a year. Unless fast tracked.

"So, all of these had been done since October. But it was in November, 12th that they gave the Estate Quit Notice.

"On 22nd November, they marked the entire estate for demolition. The owners got a court order halting the demolition.

"On Tuesday 10th December, the FCDA ignored order send them another 24hrs Demolition notice.

"Yesterday, 11th December. They came in buses and a bulldozer to level the estate. But the people stood their ground."

The Saravera Limited (The company that FCDA allegedly allocated the property to before even telling the owners about any wrong doings).

The management, contacted Saravera Limited to tell them that the property they’ve been given, belongs to them and they have every document to prove it.

The person they contacted said, they are no longer owners of the company. That the company has been sold to Wike, managed by his PA Kingsley Chinda, according to the family.

Insider sources alleged that indeed the land was allocated to Kingsley Chinda who is a very close ally of Nyesom Wike.

Chinda served as PA to Wike on legal matters and was a chairman of Obio-Akpor Local Government Area in Rivers State.

Wike’s Aide Olayinka has defended this.

He said “So because Wike is a minister now, everybody associated with him should be shut out of their rights and benefits as a Nigerian?”

“KC has rights to be allocated that land. Kingsley Chinda is a member of the House of Representatives of Nigeria. He’s a citizen of Nigeria. He is a resident of Abuja. He is entitled to own land in Abuja. Wike did nothing wrong”

Well, According to FCDA, per the family. - They said the estate is vacant that’s why they re-allocated it to Saravera.

The estate has been fully occupied since 2000’s.

Now, Wike’s aide Olayinka also explained that the property was allocated to Paullosa in 1984 as a site for temporary office. But they went ahead to make it a residential property, illegally.

"And in 2020, they applied for their temporary R of O permit to be converted to permanent.

"In 2023 it was granted and they have them conditions, But they gave them some conditions and asked them to pay the ground rent arrears from 1984 to 2021, which totalled at N43.14m.

"They waited and Paullosa failed to comply.

That’s why they revoked it on October 10th. And the video going around is just to mislead the public.

"Soo.. Luckily today 12th December, the senate ordered Wike to suspend every demolition in FCT.

"Until they finish investigations, as they have set up a panel to probe the situation.

"Later Wike said Heaven will not fall and he will continue demolitions."

The motion was raised by FCT’s Senator Ireti Kingibe, who expressed concerns that the demolition in the FCT has taken a dangerous dimension, and the senate needed to intervene.
