Willie Obiano, former governor of Anambra State, is reportedly dead.
His death is yet to be confirmed officially as of filing the report, but it was gathered that Obiano died in a London hospital.
Obiano served as Anambra governor from 2014 to 2022, succeeding Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party.
Born on August 8, 1955, Obiano hailed from Aguleri in the Anambra East Local Government Area.
Recall that he is currently under investigation by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged N4 billion fraud.
