The previous governor of Anambra State and the NDC presidential hopeful for 2027, Peter Obi, has praised the strength, creativity, and worldwide influence of young Nigerians after their remarkable display during the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup.


In a message posted on his official X account on Monday, June 15, 2026, Obi expressed admiration for numerous young Nigerians who demonstrated their talents on an international platform, describing their performances as a testament to the country's great human capability.


The ex-governor particularly celebrated Nigerian music artists Davido and Burna Boy for their remarkable shows at the worldwide event.
