NIGERIAN RED CROSS LAUDS HON. GODSON DIBE. *Solicits Support For Inmates.

Nigerians have been urged to focus on measures that sustains the collective existence of the society through empathy backed by acts of Charity .

 

Hon. Godson Dibe, Imo state Special Adviser on Empowerment to governor Hope Uzodinma- CON, who visited Headquarters of the Nigerian Red Cross Society , Owerri on fact finding tour stated that current hardships being experienced nation wide by less Privileged especially Orphans and Vulnerables could be mitigated if assistance rolls out from individuals and groups within one enclave.


The Special Adviser on Empowerment to Imo state governor distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma disclosed  that benefits abound in  Symbiotic Societies as obtainable in advanced countries where societal advancement  is  attained.


He noted that Positive changes come when you lift another person out of the doldrum. In his words "My late father told me that mercies and compassions are the foundations for upward advancement.  I, therefore, urge everybody to brace up for change today as any help to Orphans and Vulnerables People makes way for more blessings, let's share our prosperities''.



Chairman of the Imo state Nigerian Red Cross Society,  Prince Chima Keke  who is a retired Permanent Secretary and a Royal Prince while welcoming the Special Adviser on Empowerment expressed Pleasures that the visit has rekindled the spirit of a foremost Imo Community Philanthropist late Dr. G. Dibe (Iyi Umuna) whose unending love for people knew no bounds. I am glad that the Shared Prosperity government actually identified a philanthropist as an adviser , we have no doubt that you are going to galvanize the masses for a change, Prince Chima  Keke, submitted.


The Nigerian Imo Red Cross Society chairman thanked their Visitor who owns an NGO, Godson Dibe Empowerment @godsondibe www.godsondibeempowerment.com, adding that Red Cross is living On Charity and help from good public spirited persons like Dibe who came with gifts and token for the Orphans.


It was an opportunity for the Imo Red Cross to open their Plans for Orphans, Vulnerables and the general public in Imo state. According to Prince Chima Keke, Nigerian Red Cross Society, Imo state is embarking on Life changing programmes called Talent Development by the establishment of  Nursery and Primary  School  within the Complex  as discussions are through with  Imo state Ministry of Education, Owerri. 


Resource Persons/Teachers are coming as   Volunteer lecturers from  Federal University of Technology (FUTO), Imo state University (IMSU),  Alvan Ikoku  Federal University of Education, (AIFUE) and other places. Parents who are working class could also bring their children for safety during working hours.

 

The School will offer unique courses that will allow pupils develop talents by catching them young in ICT  for efficient and  effective skills. It will  also engage them in Igbo Language and culture to stop the gradual death of Igbo language. 


The Red Cross Society Chairman appealed for collaborations and support from the general public. He regretted that pausity of funds have delayed the Project estimated at One hundred Million Naira for two storey buildings. But now looking for Twenty Million Naira (20M) for a Bungalow to start.
