A United States branch of the Zion Prayer Movement Outreach has reportedly donated ₦5 billion in cash to the ministry led by Evangelist Chukwuebuka Anozie Obi.
The massive donation was made on Sunday, August 23, 2026, during the grand finale of the ministry’s 100 Days Fasting and Prayer programme at Zion City, in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area of Imo State.
The presentation was witnessed during the live broadcast of the programme as thousands of worshippers gathered at the permanent site for the closing ceremony.
The event also attracted Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, who was present at the venue as the three-day 2026 World Conference reached its climax.
The conference, which began on Friday, August 21, was organised as the climax of the ministry’s 100 Days Fasting and Prayer programme and was held at Zion City, the ministry’s permanent site in Ngor Okpala.
The Zion Prayer Movement Outreach had promoted the gathering as the culmination of the 100-day spiritual programme, with the ministry urging members and followers to converge on Ngor Okpala for the three-day event.
The reported ₦5 billion cash donation adds another major moment to the increasingly prominent activities surrounding Zion’s permanent site in Imo State.
The ministry has previously attracted significant attention over donations and investments linked to its activities in Ngor Okpala. In 2025, reports and social-media posts also circulated about substantial contributions from Zion members in the United States toward projects associated with the ministry.
Sunday’s event, however, has drawn particular attention because of the reported ₦5 billion cash presentation during the closing ceremony.
With Governor Uzodinma also in attendance, the finale brought together religious followers and prominent public figures as the ministry formally concluded its 100 Days Fasting and Prayer programme.
